Hannah Acfield: Bio

With a bundle full of talent, a goose bump inspiring voice that grasps your senses and songs that inspire the heart, Hannah Acfield is an up and coming must to watch out for in the Australian music scene.

This Melbourne songstress’s music has been described as beautiful, intelligently written, earthy folk/pop with undeniably catchy melodies.

With a grandfather playing tunes with Cat Stevens, and a brother whose music career is soaring, it can be said that Hannah Acfield, is genetically destined for musical success. This talented young songstress hails from regional Queensland, but has been gracing Brisbane and more recently Melbourne with her music.

Hannah’s self funded EP “My Tomorrow” was recorded with producer Brendan Anthony (Inxs, Midnight Oil), utilizing his home studio and the studios at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Together they have created an astounding CD.

Written after a violent mugging, Hannah's first single "My Tomorrow" was recently named the "Hot Pick" in the Pacific Songwriting Competition.

Having just returned from playing at the Perthshire Amber Festival in Pitlochry, Scotland in late 2009, Hannah is planning to tour Australia in 2010.

“Listening to Hannah makes me feel real, touched, relaxed, inspired and positive, I can relate to the themes and vibe of her songs. The lyrics made me evaluate my own life.” Leighton – fan (Brisbane)
